3D movie
Hi Stephan
Click here to play a full screen version of the game with an animated flying saucer on a vast cloudscape :-)
Depending on your browser (eg Mozilla) you may need to click inside the movie to give it the keyboard focus.
Okay, this is identical to the tutorial movie from Computer Arts Issue 62, except it has a different 3D world dropped into it.
Here are all the files you are likely to need to compare and contrast your own version:
- Original tutorial file tutorial.dir
- New 3D director asset world.w3d
- Source Lightwave scene world.lws
- Source lightwave land object land.lwo
- Source lightwave car object car.lwo
- Source lightwave box object box1.lwo (duplicate this 4 times, name them box1, box2, box3, box4 and box5)
Save all the files on the desktop - Lightwave scene files are actually just text files setting up scenes, and the objects are referenced as sitting on the desktop.
The trick is to make everything pretty tiny - the land doesn't matter so much, but the car does need to be very small.
